When I first met up with Elise & Bill for their engagement session last Fall, we had plenty to talk about. These two met while in college at the University of Dubuque. They both had played soccer and would often travel together to games, practices, and had a mutual friend group. Since Dubuque is my hometown, we chatted away about our favorite hangout spots, restaurants, and things to do around town. Also, with Marc and I having our daughter in travel soccer, we had plenty of conversation to keep us going for the entire session.
I enjoyed the fact Elise and Bill brought their two puppies, Nala and Finn, along. They looked dapper the day of the session – making the “family photos” complete. Nala even helped with the proposal. Bill & Elise were participating in a wine and paint night. It was so cleverly planned that when they showed off their artwork, Bill had a painting of himself with the words “will you marry me?” The very next moment their families walked out of the backroom for a big surprise and Nala presented Elise with a ring around her neck. Everyone shared in the evening celebration for the newly engaged couple.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, Elise and Bill had to postpone their June wedding until next year – but we will be so excited to share in the special wedding day next summer!
Here are a few favorites from their engagement session.
