Marc and I were excited when Kristina and Michael first contacted us about the possibility of photographing their 2020 wedding. Michael is a cousin of one of our past grooms, Tommy. It is always such an incredible honor to be recommended to friends and family from our past couples and this occasion was no different. Kristina & Michael are planning a downtown Chicago wedding for next September. We always enjoy photographing weddings in downtown Chicago.
Kristina and Michael were hoping to schedule their engagement photos for Labor Day weekend while they were in town visiting family and working on wedding plans. I was happy to oblige, and the weather could not have been more perfect for their session.
Being that these two currently reside in Austin, Texas – we figured it would be fun to capture their engagement photos at some of the most iconic Chicago landmarks. Buckingham Fountain, The Art Institute, Michigan Avenue, Millenium Park, The River Walk – some of the best Chicago spots. We had so much fun walking around the city and capturing this amazing time of their lives. If we ever make it to Austin, which is on our travel bucket list – we look forward to having Kristina & Michael show us around town.
Here are a few of our favorites from their engagement session – can’t wait to see what they choose for their Chicago wedding save the dates.
