When I first chatted with Isa and Tony about their wedding day, they mentioned that they were most excited about having their celebration be the time when their families would first meet. Isa’s family comes from Columbia and due to worldly uncertainties, their original plans to get married in her beautiful home country were put on hold. Isa and Tony decided to celebrate their vows surrounded by only their small immediate families. One of the things I loved about the details Isa chose for her wedding day was her bouquet. A bright colorful blend of corals, pinks, and yellows accented by rich dark greens. Isa told me on her wedding day that it reminded her of all the beautiful colors of Columbia.
Having only 15 guests allowed Isa and Tony to enjoy each and every moment with the people closest to them. The Catholic ceremony was short and sweet and Tony stole the first kiss a little early – this of course made everyone chuckle. Once the vows were complete, the newlyweds were excited to take a limo around town to show off their city of Chicago. With stops at the iconic bridges, the Art Museum, Millennium Park, and the Shedd Aquarium, there were many opportunities for beautiful portraits along the way.
The evening ended at Moody Tongue Brewery where more bright and bold flowers decorated the long family-style table in the private dining room. Champagne was poured and the couple was showered with words of praise and wisdom by delightful toasts from the family.
Congratulations Isa and Tony – we hope many years of happiness are ahead of you as well as a wonderful trip back to Colombia.
A special thanks to all the vendors who made Isa & Tony’s day beautiful.
