Kristina and Michael are not from Chicago, Kristina hails from New York and Michael from San Francisco. They first met through work and began dating in 2016 – now they are settled in Austin, Texas with their cat Luna. When it came to choosing a wedding destination, Chicago seemed to be the perfect fit with both families flying in from opposite coasts.
Kristina and Michael had originally planned a 2020 wedding, but with so many of their guests traveling, the postponement until 2021 was inevitable. Even though the wait was longer than expected, the day was no less spectacular than originally planned. With a love of the beautiful architecture Chicago has to offer, the Builders Building was the perfect and location and venue to show off our fine city. Built in 1927, the venue is graced with a grand marble staircase and gold accents which provided an elegant backdrop to the sweet vows shared in front of family and friends.
Within walking distance of so many iconic photo locations, it was also entertaining to take the bridal party on a walking tour of the city.
We were so elated to have been recommended to this sweet couple through a past couple we had photographed, Nicole and Tommy. Tommy and Michael are cousins and it was fun catching up with our previous couple throughout the evening at the reception.
Kristina and Michael, we wish you nothing but the best and are excited to share a few of our favorite moments from your day.
A special thanks to all the vendors who made Kristina & Michael’s day beautiful.
