It was early; the sun had just risen over the horizon as Shannon and Matt stepped out of their car. The outfits they had chosen looked fantastic for their morning session as we were all excited to get going. We exchanged hugs and got right to work before they started to freeze. The crisp morning air hovered around thirty degrees – it was chilly enough that Shannon and Matt were laughing at how they could see each otherโs breath as they snuggled to keep warm. These two definitely had no problem warming up the session as they hugged and laughed with each other. Matt wrapped his arms around Shannon while rubbing her shoulders and sneaking kisses to keep her warmed up. His technique definitely served its purpose. These two were troopers for taking on the cold fall morning session with joyful enthusiasm. It was early but the beautiful light did not disappoint. The colorful fall leaves around Grant Park were beautifully illuminated.
After spending some time at the park, we stopped by the historic Galena train station before heading to downtown Galena where we wrapped up the session. These two made everything so easy and I truly enjoyed getting to know them better before their upcoming 2017 spring wedding. Enjoy a few of my favorites from this sunrise session.
