There’s something truly special about returning to my hometown of Dubuque, Iowa. The rich history, charming architecture, and scenic landscapes never fail to inspire. So, when Megan and Thomas, a delightful couple planning a destination wedding this fall, reached out to schedule their engagement session here, I couldn’t have been more excited.
Megan and Thomas, both busy college students currently navigating long-distance due to summer internships, found May to be the perfect time for their engagement photoshoot. Despite their hectic schedules, their love and excitement for the future were palpable throughout the session.
We started our journey through Dubuque’s picturesque Millwork District. This historical gem of downtown Dubuque features old brick warehouses and industrial buildings that provided a perfect blend of urban charm and historic backdrop for their photos. For a change of scenery and to infuse a touch of nature into their session, we headed to the serene grounds of Loras College Campus. The lush greenery, allowed for them to change into more casual outfits for a playful second half of their session.
As we wrapped up the shoot, I couldn’t help but feel privileged to have been a part of this chapter in their love story. Megan and Thomas are not just clients; they are two individuals whose joy and optimism are a testament to the power of love and the beauty of new beginnings.
