The day was cool for March, but Abbe and Josh were so sweet with their love for each other, it didn’t matter if it was 30 degrees or 20 below zero!

The first wedding I had the opportunity of capturing this year was in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with one of our favorite wedding photographers, Joy Lyn. Yes we love her so much we had her shoot our own wedding. Lake Geneva is one of those magical places I remember visiting as a kid. One summer, my parents drove and my youngest sister and myself to the quaint little tourist town for the day. I was completely taken in by the picturesque community, including the gift shops, the boats, and the beautiful houses. Abbe had similar memories from her childhood along the lake, growing up in the lakeside town and volunteering at the historic and beautiful Black Point Estate.

Abbe and Josh’s vision for their wedding day was simple. An elegant black tie affair surrounded by family and friends. Their location of choice was a perfect fit. There were long family tables accented with greenery, a beautifully draped ceiling an Italian soda station, and a live silhouette artist. But that’s not all. When the groom is a movie producer, a wedding isn’t complete without a red carpet! The couple tied in a bit of Hollywood glam fun with a red carpet where they had a chance to strike a pose with each of their guests.

All of these details however paled in comparison to the love these two demonstrated for each other. Never leaving the other’s side, they enjoyed their beautiful March evening holding hands and stealing kisses. Best wishes to Abbe and Josh, may your love be blessed as much everyday as it was on your wedding day.

After the ceremony we headed to Black Point Estate, not only where Abbe volunteered her time, but the exact place where Josh proposed.
