A couple of weeks ago we had the great privilege to photographing Nicole and Brett’s wedding day. They chose to celebrate their day with their immediate families and closest friends. The one thing we love most about shooting small weddings is getting to know the families throughout the day. The day itself was sunny, hot ,and, humid – with temperatures in the 90’s you could feel the heat just bog down on you once you stepped outside the airconditioned chapel.
Once of the things Brett had mentioned that he was looking most forward to on the wedding day was seeing Nicole walk down the aisle. The Old Stone Church is a quaint and historic chapel near Brett’s hometown in Rockton. The beautifully adorned church looked like it was picked right out of a movie. Brett had a nice wide smile on his face as he watch his bride, Nicole, walk towards him down the aisle.
Brett’s family owns a large property complete with an apple orchard, big oak trees, and a bee farm. The property was the perfect location to capture a few photos of the newlyweds before they joined their guests for a dinner reception at their favorite Rockford restaurant, Greenfire.
We wish Nicole and Brett the best wishes as they begin this new stage of their lives. Here are some favorites from their wedding day celebration.
A special thanks to all the vendors who made Nicole & Brett’s day beautiful.
