Modern Pink Wedding at The Crawford | Naperville, IL

July is a magical time for weddings, and Erin and Jon’s special day was no exception. On a warm, sunny day at the end of the month, we had the privilege of documenting their love story—a day filled with joy, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.

This wasn’t our first time photographing a wedding for Erin’s family, which made the day even more meaningful. A few years ago, we had the honor of capturing her brother’s wedding. Seeing familiar faces, especially our past couple Alyssa and Michael and their growing family, was like a reunion of love stories we’ve been fortunate to witness.

The couple’s chosen color palette—a harmonious blend of pinks—perfectly complemented the warm summer day. It was a dreamy and romantic choice, creating a soft and elegant atmosphere that was a treat to photograph.

Erin and Jon selected The Crawford in Naperville for their celebration, a venue we’ve always admired for its modern charm and versatility. The Crawford is truly a blank canvas, allowing couples to bring their unique vision to life, and Erin and Jon did just that. Their decor and design choices brought warmth and personality to the space, making it unmistakably theirs.

Before the ceremony, we ventured to the Naperville Riverwalk for portraits. It was an inspired choice, with its scenic beauty providing a stunning backdrop for their photos. The natural light, lush greenery, and serene water features added a timeless quality to their portraits that we know they’ll cherish forever.

One of our favorite aspects of the day was seeing how much Erin and Jon adore their nieces. All seven girls were dressed in the sweetest pink dresses trimmed with gold and lace, bringing an extra dose of charm to the celebration. Their happiness and laughter were infectious, filling the day with even more joy. Watching the couple interact with them—their faces lighting up every time the girls were near—was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family on such a momentous occasion.

Children at weddings bring a unique kind of magic, and Erin and Jon’s nieces were no exception. Their presence added an extra layer of happiness to an already joyous day, and we loved capturing those moments.
