I absolutely love photographing couples in new locations and cities where I have never shot before. When Kendra and her fiancé Bryce were up for anything for their engagement session, I knew we would easily find some amazing spots in Iowa City. Iowa City has a rich history being home to the University of Iowa Hawkeyes as well as serving as the capital city of Iowa until 1857. The Pentacrest, where the old capital building sits, is surrounded by many historical mid 1800’s University of Iowa buildings and towering tree lined streets. I met up with Kendra and Bryce in the early morning to take advantage of the quiet campus and capture some amazing photographs. These two were such a joy to photograph. Their fun and sweet personalities made it impossible not to have a wonderful time. These two make looking in love easy. I am can’t wait to capture their October wedding this year.
I loved being able to capture an absolutely quiet old capital early on a Sunday morning.
My favorite shot from the session, how much fun are they?!
Kendra’s ring is stunning gorgeous!
