Sarah and Andrew first reached out to us in March, right after the Stay-at-Home orders were issued.  They were planning a wedding at the beautiful Chevy Chase country club.  Thinking it would only a few weeks of inconvenience, we decided to hold off on meeting for a few weeks until after they toured and secured the date with their venue.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months – it wasn’t until the very end of June that Marc and I were able to meet up for a glass of wine to chat about their wedding photography vision.  It was obvious that our personalities meshed well and we were over-the-moon excited when they chose Marc & Mindy to capture their 2021 wedding day.

Next was their engagement session – a perfect late Summer day to meet up in Grayslake to capture their engagement photos.  It was the perfect spot because Emil’s in downtown Grayslake was the location of their first date.  After capturing a few cheerful photos in the downtown area we headed to Rays Lake Forrest preserve for some romantic sunset photos

Sarah and Andrew love going on walks and were troopers when it came to finding the perfectly lit location at Rays Lake.  It felt like we walked a mile to get there but it was the absolute perfect spot and some of my favorite photos of the day.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you at your wedding next year.  In the meantime, enjoy a few favorites from their engagement session.
