There are two important things we’ve learned since becoming wedding photographers – first, it’s good to have a plan. We help each and every bride and groom create a wedding day timeline to ensure the entire day runs smoothly. Second, mother nature can throw that plan right out the window, therefore it is also important to adapt. Nicole and Jason’s wedding day was a little bit like that – we had the perfect vision for the day laid out, but between the downpours of rain and the hair and makeup running long, we knew we may have to a bit of juggling to fit everything they wanted into their day. Lucky for us, Nicole and Jason are one of those couples who tend not to stress, go with the flow, and smile along when plans change. This really makes them the perfect pair for each other and the perfect parents for their little son, Easton.
One of our favorite parts of capturing the guys getting ready was watching Jason and his dad get Easton into his suit for his parent’s big day. Big smiles and laughs erupted and boosted the morning spirit as Easton bopped his dad on the head while Jason struggled to get the little toes into tiny dress shoes.
We had originally planned for a majority of photos to be done before the wedding, but with the deluge of rain, we did some adjusting of the timeline and completed the photos when mother nature gave us the grace to do so. Taking a moment with the freshly married couple after dinner was served, we were able to get all of their bride and groom portraits done while guests finished their meals. It was a nice break for Nicole and Jason to just quietly enjoy each other’s company in the middle of the wedding day chaos.
Congratulations Nicole & Jason (and Easton)! Here are a few of our favorite moments of your beautiful day.
