Going on a first date can be nerve wracking. Is my outfit cute enough? What if there are weird pauses in conversation? What if he doesn’t like cats? Although online dating has come to expose us to many people we wouldn’t otherwise have met, the entire “first date” process can be very awkward. This was not the case when Heather and Shane met up for the first time. They chose to meet at a gaming bar in downtown Milwaukee. The conversation was easy, the laughter was abundant, and there were instant sparks. So much so, Heather and Shane hung out all weekend long. That is one pretty good first date.
Nearly 7 years after that date, Heather and Shane went for a hike in Kettle Moraine State Forest. It was colder than normal and already snow-covered. Right near the end of the hike Shane asked Heather to spend the rest of their lives together – and thus began the wedding planning.
A warm spring evening was a perfect evening to meet up in downtown Geneva for their engagement session. Congratulations Heather and Shane, we can already tell how perfectly matched you are for each other and we cannot wait to capture your wedding day later this year.
