Well friends – the two people who are featured on our blog today may be a bit familiar by now. We first captured Emily and Daniel’s engagement session in 2019. In 2020 we traveled to Michigan to capture their micro-wedding, and now we are back again.
It’s been nearly a whole year since Emily and Daniel tied the knot in a very socially distanced, intimate, outdoor wedding. The original plan was to have the micro-wedding and hold off for the big party until the pandemic had eased. With infection rates again on the rise, specifically the Delta variant, Emily and Daniel chose instead to cancel the larger bash. This just left one problem – Emily still hadn’t had the chance to wear the wedding gown she had chosen 2 years ago.
This was the reason we decided a one-year anniversary session was in order which gave Emily and Daniel the chance to dress up once again and celebrate their marriage anew. The thing I love best about anniversary sessions is catching up on all of the events of the past year. Emily and Daniel are old friends by now and it was nice checking in to see how work was going, how their families were doing, and checking in on all their furry pets.
We recently decided to meet up at Fabyan Forest Preserve and it turned out to be a beautiful evening for capturing more timeless portraits for their home. Emily even joked she was probably going to run out of wall space soon. Thanks again Emily and Daniel for allowing us to capture another chapter of your lives – please enjoy some sneak peeks from your session.
