Nicole & Michael

Nicole and Michael first met in 2015 –  a couple of casual first dates including watching the Blackhawks together and these two quickly realized they found their perfect match.  December rolled around and the weather turned colder.   Michael and Nicole had decided to purchase a real Christmas tree to celebrate the holiday season.   Being true Midwesterners and wanting an authentic holiday experience, Nicole and Michael had decided to travel to Oney’s Tree Farm in Woodstock to cut down their very own tree.  The pair spent two hours trudging through the snow on a crisp Sunday morning to find the perfect tree with which to celebrate Christmas.  Once the final decision had been made, Michael began to saw.  Nicole assisted in the task by pulling the tree towards her as it came free from the stump.    Once completed, Michael asked Nicole to come around to his side of the tree.  Nicole immediately noticed Michael sitting there with a ring box in his hand.  Michael began to speak, “Nicole, since the moment I met you I knew I wanted to marry you. Will you please make me the happiest man?”   Nicole of course threw her arms around Michael said, “Yes!”   Suddenly, the cold feet and frozen noses were no longer noticeable as these two cherished this exquisite moment.

After a hearing about a proposal like that plus chatting on the phone with these two, I knew our personalities were going to be a perfect match.   Hearing about how excited these two are about each other made me excited about their upcoming engagement session.  We chose the nature filled Busse Woods, located in Shaumburg, to capture this exciting moment.   I met up with the couple and their Jack Russel Terrier named Rosie. Their personalities were so sweet just as I had gleaned from our phone conversations and emails.   The sun was warm and the light was beautiful for their session, and I am happy to share a few of my favorites.
