Sharon and Jesse met four years ago. Sharon was living in Appleton, WI when she travelled to Iowa for a visit with friends and a trip to the Rodeo. It just so happened that Jesse was also at the rodeo that night. A few months later Sharon moved to Iowa and these two became close friends. It was very natural for them moving from friends to dating which was easily seen while they laughed, chatted, and joked with each other during their engagement session last week. They actually are unable to recall their first date together because “We were best friends and would do things together constantly”.
Jesse proposed to Sharon in November while vacationing with a group of friends in the Dominican Republic. A sunrise walk on a pier overlooking the Caribbean Sea was a beautiful and scenic place for Jesse to pop the question. They kept news of the engagement secret to until they arrived back home.
Once they shared the good news, the fun of wedding planning began. Sharon had a vision of snow covered engagement photos at the family horse farm. This was a session I was so excited for. Marc and I laced up our boots and tromped through the mud to capture these two in the elements they love.
The horses also wanted to steal a kiss and the show!
Isn’t this rose gold ring absolutely stunning?!?
Love this one!
Hearts! Love how happy these two are!
After a quick change out of muddy boots, we headed down to the historic Bluff Street in Dubuque.
