Madison, Wisconsin holds a dear place in the hearts of our Chicago couple Rachel and David. University of Madison was their alma mater and where these two alum had their first date. So when they first reached out to us last month about an engagement session, I was happy to drive to Madison to capture their engagement in such a meaningful place.
If you’ve ever been to Madison in the summer, you may be aware of the Concerts on the Square tradition. This is where hundreds of people flock to the Wisconsin capitol building on warm summer nights, lay out picnic blankets, and listen to live music from ensembles like the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra. This was the actual location and first date for Rachel and David. While planning locations for their session, stopping by the Capitol building during a Concerts on the Square night, was on the top of their list.
We also had to make time to stop by the University of Wisconsin, Madison to capture a few photos around campus where they spent so much time getting to know each other. Here they recounted their days of walking to class together and enjoying the beautiful evenings along Lake Mendota on the Memorial Union.
I had so much fun getting to know you both during your engagement session and wish you nothing but the best as you tie the knot in Arizona. Here are a few favorite moments from your session.
