A common metaphor that describes falling in love is being on a giant roller coaster ride. You get those butterflies in your stomach, you are a little bit scared, and also very much excited. You hang on tight around the twists and turns while laughing through it all. It was late July when Jisenda and Andrew planned an adventure to Six Flags Great America with Jisenda’s family. Andrew had somehow convinced Jisenda to accompany him on the 200 foot, 73 mph Raging Bull roller coaster. Although not a fan of roller coasters or fast and scary rides, Jisenda grudgingly agreed. After screaming all through the coaster ride, Jisenda was ready to go home. But as their trip to the amusement park drew to a close, Andrew suggested just one more ride – the Sky Trek Tower. The entire family climbed aboard The Sky Trek. The attraction is a towering 330 ft. ride where riders take a seat and slowly ascend a tall spire to enjoy a spectacular view of the expansive park. While up at the top of the ride, Andrew pointed to the roller coaster and laughed at how small it looked from the top. When Jisenda’s attention focused back to Andrew he was down on one knee. 330 feet up in the air, surrounded by her family, he asked Jisenda to marry him.
Hang on tight and enjoy a few of our favorites from their engagement session.
