Spring Fox Valley Roundhouse Wedding | Aurora, IL

The ushers stood at the door of the church as one after another they took turns running out into the heavy rain with umbrellas extended – helping usher each and every guest into the wedding chapel. They kept everybody as dry as possible in the torrential downpour that began a half hour before the ceremony. It was not a wedding day most couples envision, but for easy going Christina & Chris, it didn’t seem to faze them in the least. Inside, the church was warm and inviting. As Christina’s brother serenaded the guests with his jazzy saxophone melodies, the guests began to find their seats. The beautiful mint and coral spring inspired color pallet of Chris & Christina’s wedding made us all momentarily forget about the wet weather outdoors.

The ceremony was a celebration of love and a reminder to all present that there is someone out there who is meant to fill our hearts and be next to our side as we journey through life. Before long, the happy couple was announced husband and wife – the guests broke into thunderous applause.

I had suggested to Christina that the scenic Peck Farm in Geneva as a place that would work well for portraits. It was a place Marc and I had our engagement photos, so we were familiar with all of the great options it had to offer – it also happened to be on the way to where the reception was to be held. From the beautiful backdrop of quaint buildings to the rolling prairie land, it was a perfect choice. As the bridal party arrived at the portrait location, the rain almost miraculously stopped. This provided us just the right overcast – creating beautiful light to capture the excitement of the day. Chris and Christina were surrounded by their closest friends, the bridal party – all enjoying the exciting wedding day festivities.

We had a memorable time with Christina and Chris and now we have the pleasure to share some of our favorite moments of the day.
