Welcome to the 2016 MLP wedding season. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the season than with a timeless, sweet couple, Ashley and Andrew. These two met in high school. Oh I just love that part of their story, I just adore stories that start with high school love. Perhaps my love stems from my parent’s own story when they met in high school (and now married 45 years!).
Although they met each other in high school, it wasn’t until after Ashley and Andrew began their college experience at Franciscan University, that the sparks starting flying.
The one thing you can easily see with these two is how much their families mean to them. Not only was this a marriage between Ashley and Andrew, but also the joining of two families who will grow, support, and share in the love these two have for each other. In fact, unbeknownst to Ashley, it was with her family’s help that Andrew was able to propose to her last Easter. Her parents pulled up to the Benedictine monastery and told her to get out, and up the rose laid path waited Andrew ready to ask for her hand for the rest of their lives.
The day was planned around their devotion to the church, and the glorious Latin mass was beautifully sung by the St. Peter and St. Paul choir.
Thank you so much for making our start to the season a memorable one.
I just love when brides do first looks with their girls!
Mother Nature was a bit fickle on their April wedding day. Sun, snow, rain, and gusts of wind!
I just love the light spilling in this entry way of St. Peter St Paul church.
There is just something about a dad about to give away his daughter. Love moments like this one!
What a beautiful church to be wed.
Three generations of women.
Swoon. I just love this one with that gorgeous stained glass window.
The weather wouldn’t cooperate for outdoor photos, but we couldn’t have asked for a better location for portraits.
Ring reflection love.
This little cutie, loved crawling all over the dance floor.
This may be my favorite dancing shot of all time!!
A special thanks to all the vendors who made Ashley+ Andrew’s day beautiful.
