Amanda’s sister took the microphone in her hand, she looked at her big sister sitting next to her new husband across the table. “I was at the supermarket buying apples”, she started. “I was standing there and my phone rang. Looking at my phone, I saw it was Amanda”. “I answered the call and Amanda blurts out, ‘We’re married'”. The guests in the reception hall burst out in laughter. Everyone joined in the chuckle because they too had been surprised by Amanda and George’s secret courthouse wedding. Amanda’s sister continued to speak of how much she adores her sister, George, and their children. Amanda and George had been dating for years raising four beautiful children together. One afternoon these two decided to make it official and stop in at the courthouse to get married. Although they had already tied the knot, they still wanted to share in the excitement with their friends and family, so they decided to rent the beautiful Amron Hall in Lincolnwood for their joyous wedding reception. The hall was decorated beautifully at a little diamond of a venue tucked into the Chicago suburbs.
The lights dimmed as George and Amanda began their first dance as husband and wife. I was so happy to be able to capture such a wonderful celebration of love with their family and friends. Here are a few highlights from the evening.
A special thanks to all the vendors who made Amasnda & George’s day beautiful.
