At this point I think we might need the dating app, Hinge, to start sponsoring our couples because so many this year have met using it – this includes Alicja and Brian. Their paths crossed back in April of 2020 just as the pandemic started canceling everyone’s plans. The one thing it couldn’t cancel was the texts, phone calls, and outdoor distanced dates destiny had in store for this couple. It was fortunate Alicja and Brian already enjoyed spending time exploring outdoors.
A little getaway trip to Devil’s Lake in Wisconsin provided a perfect opportunity for Brian to ask Alicja to be his wife. If you’ve never been to Devils Lake, it is a beautiful state park located in Baraboo, Wisconsin – about 3 hours north of Chicago. Alicja and Brian had rented a cabin for the week and planned to explore everything the scenic destination had to offer.
It was on the day they arrived, while they were unpacking, Brian suggested they go outside to check out the view of the lake. Using the excuse of needing to go grab his shoes, he went back inside for the ring. Alicja turned back around to see him come out of the cabin while getting down on one knee to ask her to marry him. Of course, Alicja said “yes” and they were able to enjoy the entire week being newly engaged.
Congratulations! We are looking forward to celebrating your wedding with you in May – in the meantime, here are a few of our favorite moments from your Morton Arboretum engagement session.
